Frequently asked questions
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Results may vary from person to person. Depending on the patient’s lifestyle and severity of the condition, some may experience longer lasting results than others.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE TREATMENT?
The procedure can take about one hour or more. However, sometimes we may take time before the treatment to apply topical numbing cream.
CAN I STILL COME IN FOR A PRP TREATMENT IF I AM SUSCEPTIBLE TO COLD SORES?
Please inform us prior to the treatment if you are vulnerable to cold sores. We typically advise against getting PRP treatments if you have active cold sores to avoid the spread of rashes.
IS THE BLOOD DRAWN FROM ANYWHERE OR IS THERE A SPECIFIC AREA?
Our practitioners will only draw blood samples from the patient’s arm.
AM I THE RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR PRP?
Consult with our medical aestheticians to determine if you are the appropriate candidate for PRP. They will ask you all necessary questions regarding your medical history and other underlying conditions.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPEAT PRP SESSIONS?
Consult with our PRP experts to determine the number of sessions needed for your skin type and concerns. Typically, our patients come in 1-2 times a year to maintain the benefiting effects of PRP.
HOW PAINFUL IS THE PROCEDURE?
The level of discomfort or pain typically depends on the patient’s pain tolerance. Some patients report very minimal pain while others experience mild to moderate pain discomfort.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER PRP?
Even though your face might have small bumps, redness, or minor swelling, we advise that you refrain from applying any makeup for 24 hours after the treatment.
